October 2018 – Update on reptile capture and translocation
The project team is now nearing the end of its capture and translocation of reptiles from the Part 1 site at Whitehouse Farm.
To complete the process, the team will be undertaking a search of the area illustrated below.
This will involve, as sensitively as possible, stripping away the vegetation and top soil and checking for any remaining reptiles. Any reptiles found will be caught and moved out of harms way.
The works will be undertaken by a digger driver with experience in undertaking destructive searches for reptiles, under the supervision of the project’s ecological consultants.
This work are scheduled to take place during w/c 29 October 2018.
Any questions should be directed to the project team via 0800 298 7040.
