November 2020 – Proposals for new Local Centre at Whitehouse Farm to go on display as part of virtual public consultation

Miller Homes and Vistry Group are inviting the local community and stakeholders in Chichester to view proposals for the new Local Centre at Whitehouse Farm, West of Chichester.

In light of the prevailing Government guidance regarding Covid-19, the proposals will be presented online as part of a virtual exhibition.

The virtual exhibition will display proposals for the Local Centre, which will include employment, retail, community and healthcare uses, together with a one form entry primary school and play areas, in accordance with the outline planning consent for the Part 1 site.

The virtual exhibition will be available to view online at www.westofchichester.consultationonline.co.uk between Monday 23rd November and Sunday 13th December 2020.

Feedback on the proposals for the Local Centre can be provided via the website until 11:59pm on Sunday 13th December 2020.

Miller Homes and Vistry Group will carefully review the feedback received before submitting a reserved matters application for the Local Centre to Chichester District Council towards the end of 2020.

More information regarding the Part 1 site and the upcoming virtual consultation is available on the project’s dedicated website at: www.westofchichester.consultationonline.co.uk

The local community can also get in touch with the project team via the freephone information line on 0800 298 7040 or by emailing feedback@consultation-online.co.uk.

The first reserved matters application for the Part 1 site received planning permission in June 2018 and included the primary infrastructure for the site (such as the primary access road and drainage).

Subsequent reserved matters applications for residential parcels of the site have been submitted to Chichester District Council, including a recent application for Parcels 5.F and 5.G, comprising 50 and 53 new homes respectively.

Construction on the site is currently ongoing, including work on the Spine Road, County Park, and Parcels 2.A and 2.B by Miller Homes and Vistry Group.
